Important Information:

Don’t forget, our 2018-19 School Choice Application Process starts Monday morning, January 29, at 10 a.m. The application process is totally online for Optional Schools and General Choice, so you can apply anytime and anywhere from any device with internet access.

The application links will be live on our school choice webpage at 10 a.m. Monday. There will also be banners and links on the SCS homepage directing you to the choice page.

You can find all the information you need about the choice process, including available spaces, entrance requirements, program descriptions and FAQs on our school choice webpage.

Mornings with Mom- February 6th (last name beginning with A-M) and 7th (N-Z) from 7:30-8:15am **Please come one day only**Moms and Mom substitutes — Come enjoy a donut or two with your child before school! Donuts, coffee, juice, and milk will be served.

Calling all Dads!! Mornings with Moms is coming up on February 6th and 7th, and if you are a dad, grandad, uncle or brother we need your help! Please consider taking just an hour out of your morning to help set up, serve or clean up from this event so that the RIchland moms and mom substitutes can enjoy a donut with their child. WatchDOGS Pizza Night – Change of Date to Feb. 8th  WatchDOGS Pizza Night has been changed toThursday, February 8th at 6:00 pm. Pizza Night is for all dads and students at Richland Elementary.  This mom’s night off will feature free pizza and drinks.  All dads, uncles, grand-dads, step-dads and big brothers are invited to this evening of fun and fellowship! They will also get to learn more about the WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students) and how they can get more involved with their children to provide positive role-models and a safe, secure environment.  Be sure to come out for this fun and informative event!  To make sure we have enough pizza, please RSVP athttp://evite.me/aHCGtgmy3Z.

Skate Night- Friday, Feburary 9th. Skate Night is from 5:15-7:15 at Cordova Skating Rink. $8 admission fee, with $4 coming back to Richland for the Children in Need Fund. We look forard to seeing you then!

Box Tops – Box tops no longer have to be attached to the Box Tops paper. You may simply cut them out and place them in a ziplock bag to bring to your teacher. Keep collecting box tops!!

Need to conact someone in your child’s class? You can access the Directory on your computer by logging on to AtoZConnect.com. You even have the ability to get the Directory on your phone.  The instructions for putting the website on the home screen of your phone are attached.  If you have any questions, you can email membership@richlnadpto.org.

Lunchroom Volunteers Needed: Time commitments are flexible – stay for one (11:00-12:00) or two (12:00-1:00) shifts daily, weekly, monthly, etc. – whatever works in your schedule. You will assist kids, meet entire grade levels of children, learn personalities, and get a good picture of your child’s peer group. Parking: In the morning, there is NO PARKING on the school side of Rich between the main doors and Oak Grove. Take a moment to study the traffic maps that detail the no parking zones and morning drop-off zones located in front of the school.  DO NOT park on Rich Road heading west (toward White Station) between Oak Grove and the front door. Carpool line only!
