Important Information:

REEF’s Read-a-thon Fundraiser and Contest continues at full speed this week! We’re promoting the love of reading and raising money to support the funding of reading intervention services and tutors at Richland.  All students who participate get prizes! It’s not too late to get started and set a daily reading goal. We encourage all Richland students to participate. Let’s read! Get sponsors! Record minutes! And Collect pledges!  Free bookmark and ice cream for all participants! There are PRIZES for the top readers in each grade, pizza parties for classes with most minutes read, and Principal  & Vice-principal for the day for top two readers! Students, keep challenging yourselves to read to new heights! The Read-a-thon ends January 17th.  

Character Readers from PlayHouse on the Square and Memphis Public Library-White Station Branch will make books come alive on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Read-a-thon Assembly. Read! Log It! Get sponsors! Raise money for REEF to support tutors! Earn Prizes!

½ page for $75

All purchases and designs can be done at Balfour.com and are available to purchase until January 15, 2018.

**Please note that you will have to design your ad at the same time you purchase if you use the Adbuilder at Balfour.com. If you wish to purchase ad space now and design it at a later time, you will NOT be able to use the Adbuilder and will need to turn in your hard copy ad design to the Yearbook Team. Box Tops – Box tops no longer have to be attached to the Box Tops paper. You may simply cut them out and place them in a ziplock bag to bring to your teacher. Keep collecting box tops!!

Need to conact someone in your child’s class? You can access the Directory on your computer by logging on to AtoZConnect.com. You even have the ability to get the Directory on your phone.  The instructions for putting the website on the home screen of your phone are attached.  If you have any questions, you can email membership@richlnadpto.org.

Lunchroom Volunteers Needed: Time commitments are flexible – stay for one (11:00-12:00) or two (12:00-1:00) shifts daily, weekly, monthly, etc. – whatever works in your schedule. You will assist kids, meet entire grade levels of children, learn personalities, and get a good picture of your child’s peer group. You may sign up for when your child is in the cafeteria. **Most especially need help for the 11:00-12:00 shift!!** * Before your shift, check in at the main office and go to the cafeteria where a staff member will help you get started. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F45A5A72DA57-richland11

Parking: In the morning, there is NO PARKING on the school side of Rich between the main doors and Oak Grove. Take a moment to study the traffic maps that detail the no parking zones and morning drop-off zones located in front of the school.  DO NOT park on Rich Road heading west (toward White Station) between Oak Grove and the front door. Carpool line only!
