Readathon

Richland’s Readathon is Jan. 8 - 31. Money raised through the Readathon will go specifically to tutoring services for our students. This important program ensures that all students are achieving their personal best. Students will log the number of minutes they read each day. Ask your family and friends to sponsor you. Sponsors can donate a flat amount or can pledge an amount per minute (for example, $0.05 per minute read).

Any new sponsors submitted through the form by 8pm each Sunday night will make you eligible for the sponsor prize of the week:

• Jan. 10 : Silly hat and stuffed animal day on Jan. 15

• Jan. 17: Pajama Day on Jan. 22

• Jan. 24: Get a postcard from the Principal and Vice Principal

Your reading log, sponsors and sponsorship donations are due by February 5th. At the end of the Readathon, the following prizes will be awarded:

• Top reader for each grade: Novel Gift Certificate

• Class with the most number of reading minutes per grade: Choice of movie party with snacks, virtual field trip or dance party

• Overall top reader K-2 and 3-5: Family membership to Pink Palace

Pay Your Pledge

Sponsors can make the payment for their pledge directly through the website this year! If you’re making a flat rate donation, you can pay now through the button below. For those sponsoring an amount per minute, you will pay after the minutes are calculated at the end of the Readathon.

If you’d prefer to pay with cash or check, you can drop off your donation in the front office February 1st - 4th between 7:00am - 3:00pm. Checks should be made out to Richland PTO. Please enclose this form with your donation so that it will be matched with the student you sponsored.
